16th December, Big Bear Grisly. I’m not really sure what this is – seems to be some sort of high-school paper. VU are reviewed as an entity.

17th December, Whitstable Times. Bowie’s Hunky Dory reviewed and Velvet Underground are mentioned.

19th December, Democrat and Chronicle. US Hunky Dory review with another VU mention.

19th December, Sydney Morning Herald. They’re back! The Australian Velvet Underground.

31st December, Whitstable Times. Seems unlikely but apt that on the last day of the year in the last year of their life, The Velvet Underground end it in a sleepy English seaside town.
